Grey suits a range of building surfaces including bare concrete, grey render, stone facades, and grey-painted wall finishes that are common in modern commercial and industrial building styles.
The IPC-HDW2649TM-S-IL in grey shares the same 6MP WizSense IP specification as the black version: dual illumination (IR and white LED smart switching), WizSense AI human and vehicle detection, and 2.8mm fixed wide-angle lens. The housing colour is the sole differentiator between the two housing variants.
Full-colour operation uses the white LED illuminator to produce colour footage at night rather than switching to monochrome IR mode. For installations where the visible white light from the camera is acceptable (or even desirable as a deterrent), the full-colour mode provides richer footage for facial and clothing colour identification.
The grey housing is also the neutral professional finish used in infrastructure, commercial, and industrial positions where the camera colour is matched to the facility rather than residential decor, providing a more workmanlike and less obtrusive appearance than the bright white of residential-targeted cameras.
