Texecom Capture Grade 2 Wired PIR Detector with Image Capture AKB-0001

The Capture is Texecom’s PIR detector with integrated camera for visual alarm verification: when the PIR detects motion, the built-in camera captures images of the detection area at that moment. These verification images are transmitted to the Texecom cloud platform and accessible via the Texecom App or monitoring station, allowing confirmation of whether a genuine intruder triggered the alarm.

Grade 2 compliance means the Capture meets the EN 50131 Grade 2 security standard required for professionally monitored residential and commercial alarm systems in the UK. Insurance-compliant alarm systems and NSI/SSAIB approved installations typically specify Grade 2 or higher detectors.

Visual alarm verification is increasingly specified in professional alarm installations because UK police have reduced their response to unconfirmed intruder alarms. Installations with confirmed visual evidence of genuine intrusion receive priority response, and verification images can form part of the police report.
