Product DescriptionProduct Details & Description

Cat6 cable is the standard cabling specified for new Ethernet network installations, IP CCTV runs, and structured cabling installations where gigabit Ethernet performance and headroom for future upgrades are required. Correctly terminating Cat6 cable requires Cat6-rated RJ45 connectors: connectors that maintain the tight pair twist and contact geometry required to achieve the Cat6 crosstalk and return loss specifications at the plug termination.

Using Cat5e connectors on Cat6 cable or using generic unrated connectors on a Cat6 installation introduces a performance bottleneck at the plug termination. The Haydon Cat6 connector is specified for Cat6 cable to ensure the connector does not become the weak point in the link's performance.

The 50-pack quantity reflects the bulk buying requirement of network installers completing cabling projects: a 24-drop structured cabling installation requires at minimum 48 connectors (two ends per patch lead or structured cable run), and buying connectors in packs of 50 provides an efficient working quantity.

The rapid format means these connectors are designed for fast crimp termination using a standard RJ45 crimping tool without complex additional tooling.

For network and CCTV IP system installers terminating Cat6 cable on patch leads and structured cable runs across London and the UK, the Haydon 50-pack Cat6 connector provides the bulk Cat6-rated RJ45 supply for installation projects.
