The IPC-HDW3841EMP-AS is a 3-series WizSense IP camera positioned in the mid-range of Dahua’s IP camera lineup. The 8MP (4K-equivalent) resolution provides high-definition recordings across a wide scene coverage area, particularly with the 2.8mm fixed focal lens (G suffix: no motorised zoom) which provides a wider viewing angle appropriate for internal spaces and external areas where broad scene coverage is needed.

IR night vision uses infrared illuminators to provide monochrome night vision: the LEDs are invisible to the naked eye and produce no visible glow at the camera position, making this camera less conspicuous in darkness than a full-colour LED camera. IR night vision is the standard specification for the majority of CCTV cameras where the colour information in darkness is less important than an unobtrusive appearance.

The built-in microphone (AS in the model code) records audio at the camera position, with audio recording subject to the same legal requirements as any CCTV audio capture in the UK.

WizSense AI provides human and vehicle classification for smart detection, reducing false alarm events from non-relevant motion triggers.

This is an IP network camera requiring a PoE switch or PoE NVR (such as the NVR4104HS-P-EI or NVR5216-16P-EI in this batch) and connection via Cat5e/Cat6 Ethernet. It is not for HDCVI DVR systems.
