The EZ-XVR1B08 extends the EZ-IP 5MP entry DVR specification to 8 channels for installations with five to eight cameras. The additional channels are the only difference between the EZ-XVR1B04 and EZ-XVR1B08: both DVRs share the same specification in terms of resolution (5MP maximum), Penta-brid camera compatibility, EZ-IP tier, and HDD-less supply.
For an EZ-IP installation growing beyond 4 cameras, or where the camera count at project specification is between 5 and 8, the EZ-XVR1B08 is the correctly specified DVR without paying for channels above the 8-camera count.
An 8-camera installation with EZ-IP full-colour cameras (EZ-HCC-T359A at 5MP per camera) is a well-matched specification with this DVR: the 5MP DVR recording rate and the 5MP camera output are aligned, and the EZ-IP tier is consistent across recorder and cameras.
For a system requiring more than 8 cameras, the EZ-XVR2C16-4KL (16 channels) or the main-range Dahua XVR5108HE-I2 (8 channels with WizSense) are the next specifications to consider.
The DVR is supplied without a hard drive.
