EZ-IP is Dahua's value-tier product range, providing core CCTV functionality at reduced cost compared to the main Dahua series. EZ-IP cameras connect to the same HDCVI DVRs as main-range Dahua cameras but have fewer advanced features such as WizSense AI analytics or Starlight low-light optimisation.
Full-colour HDCVI cameras use built-in white LED illuminators to provide colour night vision. Unlike cameras with IR illuminators (which produce monochrome night footage), the white LEDs illuminate the scene in visible light, giving full-colour video at night. The visible light emission means the camera's illuminator is noticeable at night, which serves a dual purpose as a passive deterrent.
At 8MP (3840x2160 4K), the EZ-HCC-T389A delivers the highest resolution in the EZ-IP analogue full-colour range. Higher resolution means more detail at distance and the ability to digitally zoom into recorded footage without excessive pixelation.
The 40-metre LED illumination range is the white light coverage radius for full-colour night imaging. The integrated microphone adds audio recording alongside the video feed.
This camera is distinguished from the EZ-HCC-T359A (also in this batch) by its 8MP resolution versus the 5MP of the T359A. Both are full-colour HDCVI analogue cameras, both with 40m LED and microphone. The T389A is specified where higher resolution is required.
