Product DescriptionProduct Details & Description

The UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) requires that properties operating CCTV systems display clear, prominent signage informing the public that CCTV cameras are in operation. Failure to display adequate signage is a breach of UK GDPR requirements for CCTV operators and can result in enforcement action from the ICO regardless of the quality or purpose of the CCTV system itself.

The yellow background of this sign creates a high visual contrast that makes it conspicuous to anyone approaching a monitored area, fulfilling the requirement for signage to be clearly visible at the point where a person would enter the monitored zone. The 25x30cm format is large enough to be read clearly at a normal approach distance without requiring the observer to move closer to the building.

Self-adhesive backing allows the sign to be fixed to a wide range of smooth surfaces including painted walls, glass, UPVC doors, metal gates, and smooth render without requiring fixings or tools. The paper construction makes the sign cost-effective for installation at multiple entry points and at perimeter access positions around the building.

For security installers completing CCTV system installations across London and the UK, providing a CCTV signage package alongside the installed system is standard practice and ensures the end user's system is legally compliant from the moment it is commissioned.
