Texecom Impaq S Wired Shock Sensor for Doors and Windows AEJ-0001

The Impaq S is the shock-detection-only variant of the Texecom Impaq range. It is specified for positions where the detection requirement is vibration and impact detection from physical attack, without the additional door or window opening contact function that the Impaq SC provides.

Typical positions for shock-only sensors include structural walls where a contact point is not relevant, glass panels that cannot have a contact sensor fitted at the opening edge, large areas of glazing that need vibration monitoring without an associated contact, and roller shutter doors and similar openings where a magnetic contact is impractical.

The accelerometer technology provides the same adaptive detection capability as the Impaq SC: distinguishing between the impact characteristics of a genuine forced entry attempt and the background vibration typical of the installation environment. This distinction reduces false alarms without compromising the sensor’s responsiveness to genuine attack.

Where both shock detection and contact detection are required at the same door or window position, the Impaq SC (AEK-0001) is the more efficient specification. Where only shock detection is needed, the Impaq S avoids providing and paying for a contact function that is not used.
