The 300-series designation indicates a smaller cabinet format: 300mm width rather than the standard 600mm of full-size wall cabinets. Mini cabinets in the 300-series format use 10-inch rack mount equipment rather than the standard 19-inch, providing a compact enclosure for small network and security equipment installations where a full-size 600mm cabinet would be disproportionately large.

The 3-way UK PDU provides three standard UK 13A socket outlets inside the cabinet, each accepting a standard UK 13A plug from the equipment installed. The 1.5m lead exits the cabinet to a wall-mounted UK socket outside the cabinet.
